What We're Doing About It

Dear Valued Customers, I am writing you today to provide information regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and what we at the Toronto Congress Centre are doing about it.

Since our inception we were built on a single vision: to become the most innovative, comprehensive customer-focused trade and convention facility worldwide. Safety and security of our guests has always been a top priority when delivering excellence in customer experience. From best practices in food handling to physical security we constantly assess the global environment as it evolves and respond accordingly to stay on the cutting edge.

The Toronto Congress Centre has been a HACCP accredited facility since 2005 and we maintain a Gold certification. Not only does this mean our training and daily practices with respect to food handling are of the highest standard, but our culture here reflects the same in everything we do.

From the early stages of the coronavirus we have been in direct contact with the Public Health Agency of Canada and kept a close eye on what recommendations and best practices are being implemented worldwide from within our industry and outside.

In addition to our standard daily operating procedures we have introduced additional measures to increase the sanitization of our facility at all major customer touch points. With use of the highest quality, environmentally friendly and food safe cleaning products we disinfect and sanitize door handles, push plates, restrooms, all counters and surfaces, handheld device and ATMs, to name a few.

These measures as well as many others have been implemented to help you to continue to go about your regular business here at the Toronto Congress Centre with confidence. If you have any questions regarding an upcoming event please be in touch with your Event Logistics Manager®.

The Public Health Agency of Canada has assessed the public health risk associated with coronavirus as low for Canada. We recognize that this story is evolving minute by minute and we endeavour to ensure we maintain up to date information on best practices and policies in maintenance and prevention. We will be sure to keep you informed as things unfold.

As always, we remain committed to providing you with Great Experiences® and part of that is ensuring a safe and healthy environment. We look forward to seeing you soon.
