Jazz luminary Oscar Peterson was a nationally acclaimed pianist with a devout radio following by the time he was 20 years old. Long considered the pre-eminent jazz musician of his time, Mr. Peterson enjoyed an expansive career. Between 1950 and 2007 he recorded more than 90 albums and toured relentlessly. Throughout this time he received a wide array of professional accolades including multiple Grammy awards and the 1997 Grammy for Lifetime Achievement as an Instrumental Soloist.
