The Toronto Congress Centre (TCC), a division of Congress Centres Inc. recently announced the winner of its website contest. Mr. Alan McArdle’s name was drawn from over 500 participants that provided input for The Toronto Congress Centre’s new website that was launched late June 2010.

The contest was developed to encourage feedback whether it was delivered as praise or recommendations for improvement. “We wanted to ensure that we were providing the best information, guidance and services possible,” says Cara Carey, The
Toronto Congress Centre’s Vice President, Customer Experience & Corporate Communications. This allowed the Communication Team to make immediate adjustments to the overwhelming responses.

We increased the number of visitors to our site by 365% within the first 3 days and since June Google Analytics show that The Toronto Congress Centre has over 60% more visits compared to the average Trade shows and Conventions sites of similar size.

Comments received about the site:

Alan McArdle, Deloitte: “I love how easy it is to navigate through each section. Very user friendly and informative.

Marie-Claire Etcheverry Smith, Boston Pizza International: “It is easy to navigate through it. Everything is well labeled and each tab open a window containing pertinent information. I like the PDF files that can be printed and the menu looks fabulous. It appears to be easy to book your facility for an event. The GEM is a brilliant idea!”

Julie Pike, Society of Manufacturing Engineers: “It’s so crisp. Professional. It now matches the experience the TCC creates at the venue…The photos are exceptional and give off the first class vibe that TCC offers its clients. I’m very impressed.”
